drawing superstars

so, heres a few more people that have been making me happy today ....the wonderful work of liv bargman - she can't help but make any ones day a little bit better, check out her site here http://www.livbargman.co.uk/homepage.html. her style reminds me a lot of oliver jeffers with the collage/hand drawn approach and i think its absolutely magic. this book cover in particular makes me want to live in her drawings.

a little bit of exciting

well, with well meaning wishes to keep up with the blogging (which unfortunately havent appeared to materialise) i promise to get better.Anyway, just thought I'd add a wee comment about my first exhibition since finishing the big U.N.I, a small selection on my illustrations will be on show at Nexus Art Cafe on Dale Street in MAnchester from this evening. This is exciting for me and I hope to move on from this with confidence and fond memories. I must also say, to quote the insightful beastie boys 'check-check it out'.

So, I have been working hard recently at trying to figure out what it is that drives me, why i want to make art - because its something I have always done.....so after a long time of feeling lost i have begun to scratch at the surface of feeling purposeful. And about bloody time.

And its all about the drawing.
